Eligibility:

To apply for VIU’s Early program, students need a high school diploma and a minimum C+ in English 12

Additionally, students must complete a Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to the start of the program. Students must also have current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR-C, as well as immunizations required by the program.

The program consists of four years of full-time study, including academic coursework, practical training in the field, and a capstone project. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply for certification with the British Columbia College of Early Childhood Educators, which is required to work in the field.
